THE SNOW VILLAGE by Steve Marsh

I wanted to compose a work to give my second-year students the opportunity to play a work which would be a little more substantial in length than the more usual type of piece studied at this stage - hence The Snow Village.

It is a descriptive and impressionistic composition with four sections titled: Dawn, The Little Church, The Village Green and Sundown. All the sections are linked together by short, slow intervallic passages, making one, long six-page composition.
